Dromintee will compete in the
Armagh County Final 2010 of Scór Sinsear this Sunday 7th March at
6pm in St. Anthony's Hall in Craigavon. Your club will be represented in
the following sections : Céilí Dancing, Solo Singing, Ballad Group and Set
Dancing.
Come out and support your club members as they attempt to bring County medals
back to Dromintee.
If any of the club’s representatives are successful,
the following week would see them participate in the Scor Sinsear Ulster
Semi-Final. If so a bus will be organised to travel to Glengormley on
Saturday 13th March. The bus would leave the club at approx
4pm and will cost £5 return. If anyone is interested they should contact
Marie Rocks on 3888693.
A national run will take place over Seachtain na
Gaeilge(Irish Week) on Tues 9th March
the marathon run will begin around Ireland and will continue for 9 days,
covering 1600km across Ulster,
Leinster, Munster
and Connaught to promote the Irish
language. The run will go down the
Forkhill road therefore passing though the parish. Although the time is
unsuitable for many, it would be nice for the club to be represented if at all
possible. Anyone who is available and would like to get involved is encouraged
to do so. The run will pass the Aghadavoyle road at approx 1pm on Wed 10th
March. People can greet the run at the Aghadavoyle Road, at Three Steps Pub or
participate in the run/walk between these points. Participants are asked
to wear club colours.
A
six week basic Irish class commenced in the clubrooms on Wed 24th
Feb from 7.30pm to 8.30pm.
There will be an Executive Committee meeting in the
clubrooms on Tuesday at 8.00pm.
