Many thanks to everyone who took part in the walk, it was a great day, and a new experience for a good few people. Thanks also to the Ladies players who supported the mens team, and for CaterCall for the great food afterwards.

 Irish News Club Volunteer of the Year Award

 


 

 

THE IRISH NEWS unveiled the winners today of their highly contested Irish News Club & Volunteer Awards. The Awards initiative recognizes and rewards GAA Clubs, Schools & Volunteers throughout Ulster for their commitment to gaelic games and their community irrespective of their playing ability.

 

John Brolly Marketing Manager of The Irish News, congratulated all the clubs, schools and volunteers that received awards adding that ‘the Irish News Club & Volunteer awards are tangible proof that our clubs, our volunteers & our schools are indeed the foundation of GAA.’

 

URBAN CLUB SPECIAL RECOGNITION CLUB AWARD      

 

LARGE  CLUB VOLUNTEER AWARD    John Daly St Patrick's GAC, Dromintee

 

Heartiest Congratulations to John Daly from all at the club on winning the prestigious Irish News Club Volunteer of the Year Award in the Wellington Park Hotel in Belfast today.  This is truly a great honour for John & the club & richly deserved.  Well done John!

 

We would like to congratulate Maureen Moley from Dorsey Emmett’s GFC on achieving the SMALL CLUB VOLUNTEER AWARD

Unfortunately Dromintee Ceili Dancers were beaten by Spa, Kerry.  The team couldn't have danced any better so we are very proud of them.

Congratulations to all the dancers on representing parish, club, county and province.  And well done to all for all the hard work and effort put in.  Congratulations.

Congratulations to the Dromintee Scór Céilí Dancers - Ulster Champions

The dancers who will represent your club, county and province in the All-Ireland Final in Killarney: Edel Garvey, Paula-Ann Toner, Danielle Lynch, Ciara McCoy, Seamus Fearon, Micheál Fearon, Tony Fearon and Turlough O'Neill.

 

A massive credit must go to all involved, a huge amount of effort goes into competing and winning a competition of this high standard. Many thanks also to everyone who made the trip to Three MileHouse, Monaghan.

Dromintee are the only club in county Armagh to go through to the finals!

Tickets for the All Ireland are 22euro each and need to be ordered by this Friday 2nd April. Please note that tickets are non-refundable and must be paid for if ordered. Contact Ciara on Mobile: 07980294701 by Friday if you would like a ticket ordered. All Ireland is in Gleneagles Hotel Killarney on Sat 24th April.
